Felt meat in her stomach turn as if still alive. Knew more about death than she should have. Wrote it all up for the bishop who burnt the pages in front of her, threatening her: didn’t she know how frail Christendom was still? Did she want to upset the divine order? Up on the wall, it seemed to her there were no walls. She knew she could touch the sky if she wanted to. Stretched out her hand. Flew like a stone thrown by itself.
